The Event Promotions Program is an initiative run by the Residence Hall Association to assist with the advertising and promotion of events sponsored by the organization. Those seeking assistance can submit a request to the Program and will be contacted by the Public Relations Coordinating Officer within 24 hours to discuss the request. There a multiple services available through the Events Promotion Program. Below are the descriptions of the services that may be requested from the Program. Options available may be different for the Executive Board, Hall Councils and Outside Organization.
Poster Design Does Photoshop scare you? Is the limit of your artistic skills stick figures in Microsoft Paint? Do you just want some advice and assistance in the design of your posters? The PR Coordinator will be able to assist you in the designing process for your posters. Hall Councils and Outside Organizations are able to receive assistance with poster design, but might not be able to receive complete poster design.
Social Media Post Social Media is a great way to advertise for event. RHA has a Facebook page with over 1000 followers, allowing you to get your event straight to the Georgia Tech community. The PR Coordinator will work with you to help decide the contents of the post(s) and when you want them to be put out.
Social Media Event Facebook Events are also great ways to allow people to tell their friends they will be going to your event as well as allowing the host to directly contact those attending the event. Tied with the Social Media Posts, Social Media Events are a great way to advertise events.
RHA Newsletter All Hall Council Officers and others affiliated with RHA receive a weekly newsletter about the state of the organization. As leaders in the community, advertising to Hall Council Officers is a great way to spread your event by word of mouth. Having advertisements in the weekly newsletter requires Presidential approval, so is normally reserved for larger events.
